George Bernard Shaw once said, "You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul."

What is art? This question is the same as asking "what is reality?" There is not one answer, but an infinite number of answers and more importantly, there is no correct answer. Art is metaphorically a snapshot of one's inner-most feeling that cannot be defined with words. It's a projection of one's inner reality.

For me, art is a silent way to express various moments of feeling and my hope is that each painting, in its stillness, will reach out and evoke silent emotions in others through the use of color, texture, and technique. Each brush stroke embodies the will to face the fear of the unknown, every layer represents a different version of what is, and each texture iconifies universal substance. I have always been fascinated by the social interaction and connection between human beings and try my best to incorporate such concepts within each piece. I also consider my work to be a representation of the fragility of societal constructs and the want to break free from such constraints. Each painting contains a hidden story unknown to viewers but all are welcome to create their own.
